20 April – 21 September 2025Kuala LumpurThe exhibition which explores manifestations of the plantation system is curated by Lim Sheau Yun, an emerging curator in Malaysia, who both ILHAM and Kadist selected based on her exhibition proposal. Sheau Yun is a writer and editor, in the fields of art and architecture, and their histories.
20 April – 20 July 2025Kuala LumpurThis exhibition embracing hidden migration stories, particularly anchored between, and from, Penang and Yangon, the palms of y/our hands explores the overlaps, parallels, repetitions, and differences, as well as cycles of migration, mobility, and waves of flight.
15–30 March 2025Kuala LumpurThe film displays an internal conversation of uncertainty, doubt and resistance based on the perspective of faith and tradition with one’s self.
13 October 2024 – 9 March 2025Kuala LumpurThe documentary, featuring reflections from performing artists and writers, explores how artists navigate and critique the societal and cultural shifts of the time.
10 November – 31 December 2024Kuala LumpurThe film centers around “Song for The Fighters,” which was found at the sonic archive of the Popular Art Center, Palestine. Through the layers of the song, in a labyrinth of sounds and sites, the film conjures history as a permanent present tense, a collective and imaginative act.
23 June – 6 October 2024Kuala LumpurJungle Jungle explores the commonality and plurality between different cultures, examining the way the meaning of music can change in circulation and the way oral stories and folk tales can adapt in different regions to produce localised versions.
24 March – 30 August 2024Kuala LumpurTitik Garis Bentuk explores the role drawing plays in contemporary art in Malaysia and its place as finished works of art. Featuring the works of 27 artists who use drawing as a centre in their practice.
